Hello all,

Some may remember me from WAY back. I haven't been online here much. Having said that, I thought I'd post up some tanks I am selling:

100g tank. Older tank, dimensions 60" x 18" x 22"
-In decent shape. Not new. Glass center brace has been repaired. Been good for 5 years repaired. No leaks.

Solid wood stand
-Dark stained pine. Has some scratches from a cat. Can be fixed easily

Double-buld light hoods
-Under 3 months old. Stock bulbs.

Amiricle wet/dry trickle filter sump.
Mag 5 return pump
2 x 200w heaters (I think they are Visi-Therm.

Can come with or without fish, gravel, and decorations.

I am asking $300 for the whole deal.

I am in the Seacoast area of New Hampshire. I don't have a truck, so I can't deliver. Shipping is not possible. Well, unless someone wants to pay freight, but that will be REALLY expensive.

This thing is 1/2" glass. It is HEAVY!

Bring a truck and a friend.

PM me.

Ted

Amiricle wet/dry trickle filter sump. (which Model)
Mag 5 return pump
2 x 200w heaters (I think they are Visi-Therm.

I have had a couple people with this request. I'd like to unload it as a complete set up if I can.

If no one bites, I can part it out.

The main thing is that I need to unload the tank. It can't move with me. I am not as concerned with the smaller stuff.

I am not sure of the model of the filter. It is like 5 or 6 years old, however. Not that this gives you any hint. :)

well well well, finally a tank for sale ALMOST within distance to me...

I am VERY interested...

I have the money, I come from Warwick, Rhode Island, I have been to NH a MILLION times with parents, I love to ski there, and even the summer time its beautiful there... sorry, anyway, about the tank. I would give you $250 for all of it, because of the fact that you say this stuff is QUITE old, if it was newer I would give you $300...

I dont have a license, thats the only problem...

My dad even has a truck, but he would never take me that far to pick it up, thats the problem...

hmm.... I MUST think of a way to get there!!!

I will get back to you when I think of a plan!

PLEASE DONT SELL THE TANK YET! THANKS!

I'll take $250 for it.

In fact, I'll take $500 for both tanks and all the gear.

Edit: I am in Newmarket, NH. It is right next to Portsmouth. It is about 2 hours from Warwick.

only 2 hours!!! thats awesome! I was thinking more like 3.

$500 for both eh?

as much as I really would love both of em, I dont know if I can pay that much for both...because I dont think I have enough money... I could afford to pay about $430 for both, I know its low, but thats all I can afford for now... If not then I will just buy the 100 gal for $250.

Im still working up the courage to ask my dad to drive me there...

So please be patient, THANKS!

ALSO, I have a couple of questions...

1) Can I fit BOTH tanks and stand and all equipment in the back of a dodge dakota (my dads truck), The dimensions of the bed are 46" wide and 76" long?

2) for both tanks, whats the GPH on the filters? when you used it, the water was quite clean in both right?

I can't take under $500 for both. The price I have set is quite a deal, as far as I am concerned, to start with.

I will be patient. Keep in mind, however, that the tanks MUST be gone no later than August 16. I am moving.

The 100g and stand are each 5' long and 18" wide.

The 72g and stand are each 4' long and 18" wide in the center.

If all of the accessories where in the tanks, you'd be looking at...

100g and stand side by side would be about 36" (a bit more) wide by 60" (a bit more to be safe) long.

That leaves ~10" in width and ~16" length in the bed.

I don't think it will go with both in the truck.

The 72g has a Rio 3500(?), I think it is somewhere around 500gph.
The 100g has a Mag 5, it is rated for 500gph.

The wet/dry filtration is great. It keeps up with anything I have been able to throw at it.

As long as the sponges are rinsed regularly, the mechanical filtration if adequate. With my oscar, I need to occassionally put in an extra pad to help with that.

Ok, thats cool, cause I cant fit both in the truck anyway, so im only gonna take the 100gal.

I will have an answer by tomorrow or sunday, the latest.

Thanks!

No problem Nate. I can certainly wait that long. In fact, I need to empty it anyway.

Nate, have you had a chance to consider the 100g? Looks like I have found a home for the 72g.

That's ok Nate. No problem. I won't have the tank 3 months from now, but I am sure you'll find something.

Have you checked the "Want Advertiser"? It covers mostly Mass., but I am sure you can find something a little closer to RI.

I think there is both a magazine and a web site for the Want Advertiser. I'd suggest picking up one of the magazines. They come out on Tuesdays. Most convenience stores should carry it.
