honestly I can remember right now.
I think I got it sometime in May, and it was about 3 inches.
Currently its about 5

Very nice pics! Judging by the V-shaped thick lips and the pointier head it looks like a Amphilophus labiatus (Red devil) to me, a fine one too. :)

so did you flash the fish in the dark or paintshop the background black afterwards? i noticed my black belt got quite disturbed after repeated flash exposures and changed colors on me.
very good looking fish. is it still playing nice with others or will it have to get its own space?
the only place i could put a midas/devil is with the puffer but that would have a high probability of not working.
if you havent been to darbys in a while- the big saltwater eel panic'ed during a thunder storm and trashed the center brace. when the canopy collapsed, it jumped onto the floor and was toast by morning.
