hi all,

i have four reasonably mature peacock bass(cichla occelaris) in a 6x2x2 tank with an eheim 2260 :D running in it 24/7.

The other in habitants include a barramundi(lates calcifer),3 silver sharks,a common plec (hypostomus plecostomus) and 2 male cons (which give me the sh*ts as they are just too big to be eaten).

The bass are all between 8 and 10 inches and one is much larger than the other three (height and bulk wise). levels are fine and the water is crystal clear (thankyou 2260). i feed them chopped up prawns, mulies(pilchards)and flounder fillets as well as the occasional live goldie or mosquito fish for a challenge even though the longest a feeders lived in there is a good 6 seconds.
im sure anyone who owns one would know what im talking about ;)

are there any special conditions to get them to spawn and also how big must they get before maturity hits.

thanks
breaker
