I bought a bunch of these valves/adapters from DrsFosterSmith but none convert my faucet or shower nozzle to a hose nozzle. What do I need to accomplish this. It would greatly help me with water changes...

Take the shower head that attaches there now, to the plumbing section of your local hardware store. They should be able to "hook" you up.

Honestly, that was what I was thinking of doing instead of ordering more gear from the website. Although I do need a new gravel tube for my Python and need some different kinds of foods for my Africans...

there are some faucets that just will not work the aerators are smaller then normal usually designer faucets take the aerator to a home depot to the plumbing section where the chrome shutoff valves are you may have to put 2 or 3 pieces together to make it work

Or Lowe's, any large hardware store will be able to make it happen
Also water bed stores, the have an adapter to fill the bed, works great.. just like a python

big als has a universal clamp-on adapter. After getting annoyed with the cheap imitation that walmart had,and returning it, I decided to check the real think, and sure enough, Big Als had the clamp-on adapter right there. I'm sure I could have made it myself, but I'm always busy and too lazy to do things like that in my few minutes of spare time.

Is a washing machine nearby? you can put a garden hose Y adapter in the lines.

Otherwise take your faucet aerater or showerhead off, take it to a hardware store and telll 'em what you need.

I like the "attach to the shower" idea too. I was going to do that til i came up with the washing machine hookup.

I found it!!!

Went to Lowe's an bought this little valve. It converts 1/2 inch Male to a 3/4 inch male. The shower hose screws into one side and the T Valve screws into the other. Then the Python onto the T. I did a water change on a 110 and a 75 in 30 minutes without filling a single bucket. Ran the siphon to my floor drain in the basement and then got the water temp right with the Tvalve and rerouted water to the Python and into the tank. I added dechlorinator to the tank just before I started filling it. Friggin easy!?!?!

I can't seem to attach any pics for some reason...
