i htink there are several kinds of Rotala. The ones I know are stem plants that for the most part need high light. Have you looked for yours at Tropica.com?

Rotala rotundifolia or also known as Rotala indica, does grow like crazy, if thats the kind you have. I bought a small batch of it and it sent out runners along the back of the tank and to the front. I let it grow all the way to the front but cut it going across the back. I wanted other kinds of plants to.
