Most of you all know me as the 144g half cicrle thread guy. Im thinking of changing the 144g for a 300g island tank that is visible from 4 sides and will hold a 55in plasma tv. My question is if I have two bulkhead put in the bottom can I plumb a Fluval FX5 in the bulkhead with inline heaters, will it work? I dont want anything visiable like heaters or filters.

you can get a tank custom made so that the overflow is in the center

I dunno..still a concern. as leakage can occur any place along the top of the tank.
humidity will also be higher near the tank.

I would also be worried about the TV distracting me from viewing my fish in that situation....:D

dude I say get a 300 gal FULL circle tank or bigger and put it in the center of your room and make it like a pillar that goes up to the ceiling with sliding segmented doors for access. African cichlids always run to the front of the tank when they see me, so you can run around the tank and watch them follow you and make them do laps lol. It'll also be good exercise, for you and the fish.

And you can also cut an enclave in the bottom or top of the column to mount the T.V. into. Actually mount a cube of 4 TVS above the tank on the pillar and put couches on each of the 4 walls! THE ULTIMATE!
