I am looking to get a group of fishes to provide some more action and movement to my 75g
current inhabitants:
Jack Dempsey 3"
Red Oscar 1.5"
I currently have 3 giant danios in there, but they are too obnoxious, I'm looking for something a little more calm
I would be willing to keep the danios if possible, but I'd like another small group of 2-3 fishes to add in there

Don't know if you meant Rainbowfish or Rainbow Cichlids...Could you clarify?
I'd recommend more GDs added to that mix...they're probably just obnoxious because there aren't enough to spread the aggression amongst themselves...

However, I just noticed that the tank is 75g...it might be a little cozy once the O reaches maturity, and the JD/GDs will either not be welcomed with open fins by the O or the JD will kick everything out of the tank. My money is on the latter.

rainbowfish.
I'd try a catfish of some sort. Rainbowfish, GD etc. will be supper once the oscar is all growed up.

I agree with what Scott said, but I'd try a Pleco of some sort over almost anything else...Cories are morsels to a full-grown O...and they don't go down so easily...you could potentially wipe out the tank if the Oscar ate a Cory and choked on it or something. :(

hmmm...alright, yeah I recently did more research and have decided to put these fishes into a 100g hopefully next year sometime...I already have a 5.5" common pleco in there...perhaps, I'll just be satisfied with the giant danios
