I'm looking for some info on the Anchor corals (Euphyllia spp). I know they are aggressive and will take food. I've read that they like bright light but diffuse illumination; no direct MH lighting.

If any of you have some can you please post me some piccies and tell me how you care for it?

Seriously though - cheers for that link, it'll give me some bedtime reading before I purchase one. I'm actually going to get the Euphyllia ancora (non-branching). I've managed to frag my candy cane (into 4), my Xenia (I hate that stuff but it's great for bargaining with!!), my Kenya tree (as per Xenia!!) and my GSP (managed to get 4 frags).

Tim has already put the reserved sign up for me (even though I haven't seen yet) and it'll just be a case of getting over there!

LMAO....i limit myself each week..... ;) Of course, if you come and search our archives, you'll plenty of FAQ's and articles written about this SP of coral :grinyes:

I have frogspawn instead of hammer, but I think the care is relatively the same. They even look relatively the same. Easy to care for coral, takes food like an anemone, splits head and grows on a 'stalk'. I just jammed the dead end of a few stalks into the sand and it's split once or twice since then.

Nice coral, gets really big and looks like a ball of wavy noodles or something once it does.
 
It's funny, this is the only place in my tank with any algae right now.

Doesn't really bother me, though...adds a little color. ;)
