my tank is 55cm (26") deep and i'm having trouble cleaning the bottom properly, coz

1.. its mostly aquarium sand (which the fish love & it looks gr8 so i dont really wanna change it)
2.. its hard to reach, at the front i can barely reach the bottom with my fingertips, most of it i cant reach the bottom at all!

does anyone know where i can get a gravel vac that'll reach? (i live in the uk) or maybe there's another way i can clean it out?

i have 2 fantails, a black moor, a goldfish and one really large oranda so i need to clean the bottom properly! its a happy tank and i'd like to keep it that way.

would be grateful for any suggestions.

I use a python recommended to me by the people here, they are easy enough to order on the internet.

Yes, the python has an attachment you can order to reach the bottom of the deep tanks.

top fin's gravel vacs come in various sizes, one being 2 feet long... you may want to check one out if a python isnt the best choice for you.

I hate spending money when it is not necessary...lol.
Pythons work great and have great reviews but anyone can make one.
This is what I use to get into my plants and around things without making a mess because I also use sand - vac (http://home.cogeco.ca/~plecosterone/INDEX-PLECOSTERONE.htm) - DIY, water change, bottom of page.
