This is mostly because I thought we could use another marine thread. I accidentally found this out when I got a new light with the actinics that could be turned on separately. Here's my green star polyps in daylight.

my brown buttons kinda glow like that under the actinics. Sometimes I can turn just them on and I can spot where any new polyps have started to grow by looking for the green glow.

Pretty cool stuff.

Was that second shot taken under that new "moonlight" I've been hearing so much about? It looked good, though. Makes me want to run out and buy better lighting!
 
It's a 130W Coralife PC fixture. Very nice for a 24" tank. The daylight bulb is a 65W 10000K, I don't know if the spectrum of the actinic is "true" actinic or not. Looks blue enough to me.

With your mushrooms leaving glowy prints, Guy, fluorescence is not just fun, it's useful!
