is there any corals that are safe with a small clown trigger? i dont want any hard corals mainly soft just wondering if any are compatible i do plan on relocating the trigger to my big tank once its cycled so he would only be in there for a short time. Any help would be great

As long as it is only temporary and you keep him VERY well fed (at least two times a day) then any soft coral will work. If you don't keep him well fed or he is in there longer than temporary they are MUCH more inclined to kill a soft coral than a hard coral. A hard coral has a hard part so they will stop chowing it once they hit the hard part but with a soft coral there is no soft part so they will eat it till it is gone. Hope this helps and good luck with whatever you decide. BTW, what size is your large tank?

I'm really confused by this post...

Do you already have the Clown?

Do you already have the Corals?

If no to either of the first questions,

Is either one (or are both of them) en route to your home?

If no to that one and to either of the first questions, why would you choose to mix the two at this point? Patience would be key b/c both are fairly expensive and very interesting animals...

If you already have both (or will have both due to an already-placed order), disregard my queries...otherwise, hold off on one or the other until you get the tank situation resolved...it's worth it to you and your animals to do so.

Trust me, I know the temptation of adding new livestock, but I think that you'll be happiest if you don't provide the clown with the temptation of the corals. That's just me, though. I'm not flaming but trying to explain my position, and I respect yours because I'm constantly wanting to add incompatible livestock.
