I plan on running a 100 gallon tank. I only want to make a trip to the co2 store no more than once a month to get a refill. What size tank should I get? How much does co2 run for?:grinyes:

I had a pressurized co2 system, with a 5lb tank running for about 5 months. I ran 2 bubbles per second in my 36 gallon tank, and never emptied it. Here are some co2 resources from Rex's site:

6 months for a 5 pounder with it on 24/7.... i have a 20 pounder and a 10 pounder. i figure it out the bigger you can fit the better.

I have a 100gal with CO2. I have the LARGE 20lb bottle and it last me about a year (10-12 months).
Get the biggest tank you have room for. If you can fit a 20lb in your stand, get it.
People often point out that it's only a few bucks more to fil a 20lb than a 10 lb. Saves more money in the long run.

Thank you all for giving me that info. I was more after how long co2 will last per tank size and that is what I got. I think I am going to go with a 20lb tank. What is the normal going rate on a 20lb tank?
