I'm going to get either an XP2 or XP3. Does anyone know if there is a difference in motor size between the two? Or the impeller size?
Any info on the differences would be appreciated.

Well, I would imagine there would have to be if they are two different size filters pumping different amounts of water.

not sure about impeller or motor size, but the xp3 moves more water (naturally) and is a bit more loud than xp2. i have the xp3 but the xp2 is supposed to be almost dead silent from what i've researched. they are both great filters.

the xp3 has a little higher wattage motor.which in turn pumps more water.cant remember how many more watts though.as far as impeller size i would say they are the same.a faster turning motor (higher wattage) will produce more gph without increasing impeller size.
