Aquarium Landscaping

Ive had my oscar for about 3 months now and he's about 3.5". I'm trying to design my 55g to best fit it. He is a really agressive fish and he likes to make a mess out of the tank by bite and tear up any plants I put in there. I want to know what landscape would go the best with an oscar. Can you guys help me out?

I would go with a river rock bottom and construct a small cave for sleeping quarters. They usually like to cruse the top of the tank during the day.
