I have the chance to buy a 60 gallon hex with an oak stand and hood for $65. Its supposed to be in excellent condition. I would probably jump on this deal if it wasn't a hex! What do you guys think? Please answer soon because I doubt this will last long.... Do you think I could keep a JD, Firemouth, Jewel and some sort of top fish in it?
Thanks, Jacob

I would jump on it if you can... I think hexes are actually more expensive. I think you could keep those fish in it all right... but I'm not experienced with them... buts it's a great deal.

I don't know the usual price, but you need to jump on this before someone else buys it. All I can tell you is if I could buy it, I would right now. Is this tank anywhere near Jacksonville Florida? :D

Sounds like a good deal. There was a time when I didn't think very highly of odd-shape aquariums, which includes hex, and bow-fronts. But I have since gained an appreciation for these tanks. I would jump at the chance to get a 60 gallon hex with a stand for $65. I have an empty corner of the room that could be turned into a real spotlighted niche with a nice hex set-up.
Well, my LFS has a 100 gal. Hex for about $300 ( I think, been along time since I asked. I want to say it was actually more than that though.).
I would grab a hex with a stand at that price, even if I had to reseal it myself! That's an awesome deal. Go for it!!

After I posted I called them back and they had sold it during that short amount of time, oh well.
