The first one looks like a trimac, but it could also be a flowerhorn.

Or...are 2 pictures you post here...the same fish?

IME Festae are much brighter colored than mayans and they also get much larger. The red terror will display more of a bright red and yellow while the urophthalmus is more dark red or maroon color. Funny you should bring this up I saw a mislabled urophthalmus at a LFS yesterday. Poor fish had HITH and lost vision in one eye. Or at least it appeared that way. I have only seen adults, I dont know what the juveniles look like. Is that color in the pic you posted the actual color? if it is you may not really be able to tell until adulthood.

So I guess festae are born with the bright colors then, well not born but you know.

Definately uropthalmus. The easiest way to identify is the eye spot on the peduncle. On the festae it starts at the top and only extends to the middle of the body, in the uro it covers the whole tail. Also the festae the stripe closest to the head forms a y shape at the shoulder. Both are pretty brown when small. At about an inch and a half to two inches the dorsal and caudal fin on the festae will turn bright red.
