I'm not new to the marine world. I currently have a 75gl FOWLR. I have a couple of triggers, sail fin tang and 2 damsels. I'm looking at getting a 180gal to move them over to and add more fish.

Now for the filter setup. I'm looking at using a Wet/dry sump (any they the same thing), skimmer, and a mechanical filter (ocean clear 325) with heaters in the wet/dry or inline. I will be installing all filtration in the basement that sits below the tank.

What are good product to get for pumps, skimmer, wet/dry, heaters. I never did anything this large, so I want to make sure I do it right.

thanks for any help.

Nothing that could handle this setup.

Aqua pro c hang on skimmer
magdrive 950
2 titanium heaters 300 watts
couple of power heads

you need to upgrade your skimmer and maybe your pump.
is this 180 RR, drilled or overflow box? sump?

Well I was looking to use a wet/dry. Is that called a sump also? I thought about 2 overflow boxes int he back corners. Are they needed, useful in a non reef tank? I'm new to this kind of setup, so I'll need a little direction.

Thanks for replying
