Got me one of these to live with my mature clavus/compressicipts and ahli in my 30g...
He's still relatively small and only black striped (no defining colors yet). He holds his own, although the alhi is certainly making sure it knows who's boss...
Wondering if anyone's had any experience with these...

Don't have any experience, but I think they're really cool fish, particularely the way they eat. I never see them around here, but I'd pick some up if I could find'em. How much were they?

$15 for a medium size at my LFS.
The lips only get grossly enlarged from usage (growth is triggered only when used). They won't get much larger from normal tank living.
They're actually pretty striking fish, have some good coloration (mine's still young, hasn't evolved into the blue headed beast yet). My ahli / electric blue hates it, but it's no threat and hasn't stopped the Milomo from wandering and feeding.

i take it by the size of yours that its an aquarium bred fish too?
