the reason why i am asking is because these are much taller than the micro sword patch i had before. are those micro swords along the back wall?

Could be that what you had before was Lilaeopsis brasiliensis. They're supposed to be a little shorter than L. novaezelandiae, which is the more "common" species. OTOH, maybe your conditions are different and are causing your microswords to grow taller. Difficult to say, unless you know the exact species you had before and have now.

Good thing you put them in the back .
