Has anyone experienced any problems with cories taking out their shrimp? I thought they'd make decent tankmates, but I just read in another thread that cories can't seem to help themselves...
Anyone, anyone?

I never noticed my cories bothering the amanos. I have amanos in with my newts, as well, and I have seen the newts chase the shrimp, but never come close to catching one. They are pretty hardy, IME.
My cories and Amano shrimp are fine together. But the cories are dwarf varieties and the shrimp are full-grown. Cories are generally non-aggressive, but they are omnivores and will eat whatever will fit into their mouths (which are not big at all). Some people see fish A nibbling on dead fish B, and immediately assume that fish B was killed by fish A. This is not always the case, and *most* fish/invertebrates are going to scavenge on any carcass that's lying around, just decomposing. Heck, it's a free meal to them. But I just can't see a cory being "predatory" like that. I could be wrong, though.
If you don't see any obvious problems, I wouldn't worry.
