Just curious how many of you have level tanks. I now have six and only one is level. And for those of you that do have level tanks , how did you do it?

All mine are level. First step is to make sure the stand is level under weight, and shim accordingly. Use weight, since this will cause the stand to settle into the surface--carpet especially--and allow you to see how it's going to sit with a full tank on it.

hehehe None of my tanks are level. My house is built on 2 foot centers. The floors are so warped it isn't funny! I'm laughing anyway I guess...

All of my tanks at least start out level with (metal, not wood) shims if/as required to level the stand. None are on carpets, so crushing is not an issue. One 55 over 33XL in this room is about 1/8th inch off after ~18 years. But it is the house itself, the floor is a bit off now in the room. If it gets any worse I'll correct the tank stand with shims.
