is there an advantage to using canister filtering? right now I have a penguin 330 for my 50, and i think its having trouble keeping up with the tank, I actually had to add my old power filter 10 to help along, so, rather then just barely keep up, I would rather have more filteration then necessary, SO, opinions people!!! Thank you :D :D :D :D

Most ppl here are fans of overfilitering. Personally I like the the Filstar canister filters. Very easy to maintain, very quiet, large capacity, and affordable.

Once you get a cannister filter you will say man why didnt I do this sooner. They are great. I have a fluval and a filstar. I wasnt to sure about the filstar when I first got it, but I think it wins over the fluval. Tim

I'm sold on the filstars.
For your tank I would recommend the
Filstar XP2 from either BigAlsonline or
PetSolutions. Your water will never get cloudy again...
