For the third time today two of my three SAEs are acting very strangely. Their normally dark black stripe is a faded silver color and they are circling each other frantically and nonstop. It appears they are trying to 'bite' one another on a side (in other words, not entirely friendly, but no damage at all yet).

I have been treating the tank with Rid Ich the past 5 days but this is the first I have seen of this behavior so I am not sure it is related. Other tank parameters normal.

They will stress each other out completely if this continues. Alas, I have no other tank to put one in.

I just separated them by netting one - this can't last either. HELP!

This has happened to me a couple of times as well with my SAE's, however it is usually over an algae tab or a spinach leaf. What I did to remedy the "squabbling" was put more than one source of the food. Once the food is gone, they continue to school together without any problems. From my knowledge SAE's are non-aggressive. How big is your tank and how many do you have in there? I don't know if this could be caused by the medication you're using, but suspect it is not.
