what does ich look like and what are some early symptoms of it. How do you get rid of it?

My red devil has some slight discoloration around his fins...kinda light, whitish.... just wondering

Ich is basically little pimple-looking white spots. It is a parasitic infection, you would usually use one of the various medications out their to treat it such as Quick Cure. What you have might be a light fungal infection... what are you water perameters and is there any bullying in the tank?

I agreed with PumaWard. Possibly some fish took a few nips on your RD to get that look. Mine has the same look right now after being attacked by the male.

The first sign I noticed on my fish...when they contracted Ich...is scratch themselves against decors alot. Then they will start having the pimper-looking white spots on fins. At first...just a few. If not treating soon...the fish will be covered with white spots. If not being treated, they can and will die from it.

I usually treat my fish with SuperIck and raise the temperature to 82 degree. Some people will use salt and raise the water temperature. It all depends on your preference. I have never tried the salt method because I have an algae eater and a few loaches. I heard they are sensitive to salt.

Mine usually heal itself. I just make sure that they eat...and have water change to make the fish feels more comfortable. However, if not taking care of the fish probably, I heard that can cause finrot. I don't know for sure because mine never experienced it.
