A couple of days ago I got some riccia and secured it to the bottom of my tank and some rocks with hairnet. Well apparently my pl*co found and opening that I missed and I woke up today to find him all tangled up in the hairnet. I did my best to cut him free, but there are still pieces of hairnet stuck to his body and a couple of his smaller fins are still covered in it. I can't really catch him now and I'm worried I might damage the fins by cutting the hairnet and trying to pull it off. He is only about 2.5 inches long. What should I do? Should I just leave him and hope they eventually come off? He seems to be able to swim, but he's mostly just laying on the bottom of the tank, I imagine he's very stressed. I put lots of stress coat in the water and turned off the lights.
