I recently purchased a 75g tank. I don't know much about aqua botanics but I want to get it set up and decorated. I am going to be keeping an oscar in it and he is really wreckless and likes to tear up anything he can get at. The tank is still going through it's cycle. I want something that will make the tank look nice and will go well with the natural colors of an oscar but I don't want anything too big or anything that growns really fast. I'm think maybe artificial plants would be best. If you guys could give me some recomendations or tips that would be great.

thnx

Oscars and live plants don't really mix well....

Oscars will eat as well as just dig them up for the heck of it.
Artificial plants buried deep in the gravel may work.

For me, a rocky tank with some nice driftwood would look good with Oscars.. Just my opinion. And, I haven't had Oscars in a long time.

Java fern and anubias have done well in my tanks with diggers. There's a possibility that the oscar will shred them though. I've never tried that combination.

Oscars at plants do not mix at all! Buying live plants would just be a waste of time and money. Oscars enjoy uprooting plants, laying on them, and just destroying them in general. I even have large plastic plants that my oscar will uproot, but they are a lot easier to put back.
