Things such as smoking affect our lungs as we all know, but does it have any effect on fish such as bettas and gouramis that breathe from the surface? I know they dont have "lungs", but they could still "breathe" in the smoke.

I know that smoke can be harmful to the water, so if the smoke gets in the water and pullutes it, it will kill the fish. The AC powerheads have a little plastic tube that attaches to the powerhead and goes out of the tank to make bubbles. SO if you exhaled smoke into that, it would probably pollute the tank and kill the fish.

yea smoke in there is jsut that much more unknown chemicals in the tank that could hurt/kill the fish, would not be a good idea
