if they are eggs they are probably not the kind of eggs your want. Not knowing what pond snail eggs look like. I would say that if it is big enough to see it would be big enough to remove. I would definatley remove them unless you have some clown loaches in your tank.

If you have loaches, puffers or other snail eating fish then you will prolly be ok, but the bad part is they will probably eat your plants eventually, and one snail could easily become thousands of snails in no time. I would try to remove them.

thats what i thought they could be but i wasn't sure about it ....if it is snails......say a ramhorn or a yellow apple ....they aren't that bad i dont think......i hope ....but wouldn't they get eaten by other fish when they hatch or are they quite big when they hatch.....dont have a clown loach ...only a kooli loach .....bristtle nose cat fish are probably the only guys in my tank that mite have a go at them....should i remove or leave ....i thought snails in your tank was a good thing??????

They're definitely some kind of snail egg. Whatever they are, remove them. In my experience, snails are more of a headache than a help...

these snails are most likely not a good thing. i very highly doubt they are ramshorns or apple snails. i had the exact same eggs, brought in on a plant. within a month i had literally thousands of these little brown snails in my ten gallon. they stay smaller than a pencil eraser, and lay tons of eggs on just about any surface they can. i even had them in my 25 gal. and they ended up ruining my back filter. they got caught in the magnets and wrecked them. had to replace the filter. i never saw any of my fish eat the babies- dont know why. but i ended up overhauling my ten gallon. i removed all the gravel because the entire surface was covered with tiny crawling snails. you should be able to scrape the mass off with your finger nail- it feels pretty gross, i know. but to be safe, i dipped all of my plants- live and plastic, and decorations in hot, very salty water. any snails that were on it instantly dropped off into the bucket. check the corners of the tank, too, they especially like to lay them there. also check the whole surface of the glass. i just ran my hand along it, you'll feel them.:o

These are common pond snails as maylaysian trumpet snails are live breeders and apple snails lay thier eggs above water. If you want a snail apple snails are the ones to get since they require normal sexual reproduction and are not asexual or hermaphroditic.
