is my tank overstocked i have a 20g tall with penguin 170 on it plus airstone, all my fish are on the small side even full grown so i feel like my tank is just right , it is also well planted -

3 platies
2 potbelly molles
1 pleco (spotted)
1 angel fish (small)
3 albino cories
3 ottos
1 blue snail
7 ghost shrimp
1 gourami (not sure what type he is not a gold , he's a pale color though)
1 dwarf honey gourami
1 pineapple sword tail

everyone has plenty of room , plants , caves etc just curious about your thoughts, i know the angel n plec will get big but this will take time i am planning on getting a bigger tank in the next yr

The adult size of the fish is not small, though not huge. Gold gouramie get to about 6 inches, angels require lots of vertical space, and platies and mollies both have the potential to add a few fish for you.

I like tanks where you have to look for the fish though.

A planted 55 (my only 'community' tank):

10 Glowlight Tetras
3 Glass cats
3 Rosy Barbs
3 Otocinclus cats
1 SAE (~1/2 grown)
>dozen shrimp (Amanos and Southern Marsh)
mixed snails, Red Ramshorns, White-footed common pond, MTS.

I consider my tank overstocked.

With what you have there you would need a 55 in my opinion. Also the angel should not be kept alone, groups of 4+ are generally the standard. They're shoaling fish in the wild, and should be kept similarly in the aquarium.

LMOUTHBASS you are so over stocked, to the point i am ashamed of you.
Just pack up the tank and send it to me as punishment. ;)

All joking aside, you are a bit over stocked. I know that angel will need a bigger tank after awhile itself. I am one of those freaks that feel angels only belong in a 55 gallon tank.
