I have a 2G nano tank at work and was wondering if a halogen light fixture would work? I know it can get a little hot but thats okay since the tank is not heated anyway. Another question is what is the color temperatures of halogens anyway? My guess is that they are around 3k or so. They do look a little on the yellow side. Is this okay to use or would it promote algae growth. Right now there is a NO floresent bulb but its rather far above the tank and not doing a very good job. I need more...
