A very fine white precipitate? What have you added to the water that could coprecipitate with high levels of calcium carbonate? Phosphate pH buffer maybe? A flocculant?

A milky haze? A recent stirring of the substrate?

Don't give us any hints; let us guess! Is it bigger than a breadbox?

Here in the Triage Unit of the E.R., we develop a slightly sharp humor after a time!

But a little shock every once in a while stimulates the nervous system.

It's that "packing popcorn" stuff that comes with Power Compact light fixtures. Shake them off before you put the lights on the tank!

e210benz, we all like to work out puzzles-- that's part of why we're hanging out here. But we need more clues!

You leave us spinning like Black Ruby barbs. We're chasin' our tails here...

Give us more description or some background. Something Hercule Poirot can work on...
