I went to one of my LFS and they had a relatively small tube of silicone sealant for what I deemed to be an outrageous price (6.20) for what you got. Suppose I were to go to Home Depot, does anyone have any brand names of caulk, or similar silicone sealant that I could request or use to bind some rocks for my ciclid tank?? Any information on what I should look for or avoid would be great , thanks!

Look for 100% silicone. Do not get anything that has colors, or does anything to prevent mildew or algae growth. There is one brand that even specifies on the label that it is aquarium safe--and this doesn't jack the price up, oddly enough. ;)

You can get some at Home Depot. It's called DAP and it's a aquarium sealant (100% silicone). I don't remember the price but i think it's under $5 bucks. I have used it for my rock wall in my aquarium. No problems with it so far. You can also get some at wal-mart for a cheaper price.
