View Full Version : Do plecos, cories, or loaches LOVE watersprite?

I recently got 5 new watersprite plants, and I can't figure out who's munching on them every night. I see new branches sprouting, and over the next couple of days, they are reduced to almost nothing.

I have clown loaches, several cories, and a rubbernose pleco. It could also be some Florida/American flagfish, or some mollies.

I don't think it's the tetras, swordtails, or [edited] guppies.

Before I start removing the fish species by species, anyone have any best guesses or personal experience?

My guess, from the information supplied, would be to suspect the pleco. They have a 'requirement' for greens. If you aren't target feeding them, thawed frozen peas, blanched cucumbers, zucchini or romaine lettuce leaves are all readily taken.

actually, i might suspect the loaches. i had a tank with 9 loaches (yoyos and skunks) and the watersprite i added to the tank was devoured practically overnight. i also blamed my gouramis, but you don't have those, so that's not your issue.
