Hey everyone.
Is it normal for Silver Dollars to develop black markings on their tail and dorsal fins? These marks run pretty much on the entire outside edge of the fin. At first I thought it was some sort of a finrot but some research on the web seemed to indicate that fin rot is ususally "white" as opposed to black.
Could this be another type of infection and/or disease or is this a normal thing to happen to Silver Dollars as they mature? It doesn't appear as though the fins are getting any smaller and/or rotting away, it's just the colour that seems unusual to me. There are no other markings on the other fins or the body.
Thanks for any help you can throw my way.
