I have a 29g planted tank and I have noticed a few (around 4) salt-grain like spots on the fins of my black tetras. (I also have 2 dwarf gouramis who look ok and are acting normal.) I am pretty sure it is ich. What type of treatment will be the most effective while at the same time be least damaging to my plants? Raising the temp plus salt addition, malachite green, or something else?

My plants are looking great and I don't want to kill them! (But I want to save my fish too!)

Thanks!

I use "stop ick" by Aquarium Pharmaceuticals, but I also raise the temp to about 82. Make sure U also increase water movement to get more O2 in water because of higher temp. Goes away in about a few days.

Have not had ick in 2 years.
