My 30 gallon was starting to get a bit of algae so I decided to pick up this really cute bristlenose pleco. He is only about 1". He has been in there for 2 weeks and the algae doesn't even look like it's been touched alot.
I also have a bulldog pleco in my 10 gallon and it sparkling clean. So I'm thinking of moving my bulldog(2") to my 30 gallon and the bristlenose to the 10 for just as long as it takes the bulldog to clean my 30. Then I would move them back. Would this be too stressful on the fish? I know the bristlenose can't stay in the 10 since it'll get to 6". Do you think this could work?
Thank you!

I would say as long as there are some hiding places for both plecos you can just add the Rhino to your main tank and leave the bristlenose pleco. Anyway, hope this helps.

I just worried about them fighting cuz I'm sure he will fight my lil bristlenose. Is a rhino and bulldog pleco the same?

Nope, they're not the same.

Maybe you would want to try about 3 or so otos as they are the best algae eating fish. Then, when there is no more algae left for them to eat, you could feed them along with the pleco algae waffers and veggies. Just a suggestion.

First off what type of algae do you have? bristlenose plecos are best at eating soft green algaes and sometimes they will eat brown algaes. Otos are your best bet if you have lots of brown algae(diatoms). If you have that hard green spot algae, nothing will really eat it and your best bet would be a razor blade.
moving around your pleco, rubbernose to the 30g tank, can be done and it most likely won't fight with your BN but moving him back and forth(uless you parameters are the same) will most likely stress him out. If you jsut added the baby BN pleco to your 30g give him a few weeks to get used to his new home, then he will come out and clean.
what other types of fish are in teh tank with the bristlenose? maybe he is too scared to some out.
