Are there any plants that will stand up to not being eaten by Silver Dollars? I have a 55g with 5 large Silver Dollars, they are large, about the size of your palm. They have munched anything I put in with them that is green and growing.

i found them to eat every plant i had including anubias and java ferns. the only plants i could keep mine with were java moss and onion plants. onion plants taste very bad and are thick leaved.

From experience they will eat all plants. :iagree::iagree:

^^ its true but not really true for all plants..

Maybe not ALL plants. Years ago I had swords, anubius, Java fern and moss, Hygro, crpyts, ect. in my 100gal. A real under-water jungle. LOT of plants.

Bought 8 very small SD (about 1 inch), not long later I had a desert. :angryfire:
