Someone I know has had these fish for years he says. He thinks they are a Severum, the large gold one looks like a common severum to me, but I am not sure on the striped one, please let me know what you think each of them are. A link to them may be helpful as well. Just so you know the gold ones are approx. 8-9in in length and about 1.5-2in thick, they are some large fish.

Thanks everyone, I am sure he will be very happy to know what his fish are. They are definately amazing looking fish, wish I could say they were mine.

yup severum and the festivum look odd..maybe fin damage on the ventrals..(usually much longer)
