Dropped a whole live earthworm in for my oscar today. Oscar missed it and it headed for the gravel and disappeared. Oscar didn't bother searching for it. Am I going to need to dig through the gravel searching for this stupid worm?

Most likely your earthworm is dead in the bottom of the gravel. It will soon decay and then eventually stink up your tank. Depending on what you have in your tank, your fitler may take care of the problems are not. I Think it might be safer to get the earthworm.
