Hey all. Right now, my 2 Oscars are in a 45 Gallon with 2 Jewels, 2 Tin Foils, 1 RTBS, (red-tailed black shark), a Needlenose Gar, and 2 African Clawed Frogs. I know this is grossly overstocked, but it's kinda my Mother's tank and she doesn't really care.

Either way, I have a 60 Gallon in my room that is chock full of community fish, (but still understocked.) It's got 6 Balas, 5 Otos, 7 Scissor-Tail Tetras, (Harlequin Rasboras, we call them at work,) 5 Giant Danios and 5 Cories. Since I am only home 3 days a week, tops, I think I'm willing to get rid of some of these fish...I also got a Rainbow Cichlid some customer gave me at work, and right now he is in a 10 Gallon. So, would this new stock list work?

45G:
2 Large Balas
2 Tin Foils
1 RTBS
2 Jewels
2 African Clawed Frogs

60G
2 Oscars
1 Needlenose Gar
1 Rainbow Cichlid

I know the fish are all still tight for space, but i think this may be the only solution without buying more tanks and while keeping the fish my mother likes in her tank. Opinions or other ideas anyone? Mainly, the Tin Foils and Frogs must stay in the 45 Gallon. The Oscars cannot be given away, and the same for the two large Balas. I know the Oscars should be in like a 120 Gallon seperatly, but this is the best I can do right now.

IMO, your tank is overstocked...

in the oscar tank I would lose the gar that is going to end up as lunch. The only things in the 45 that wont get to big and I mean way to big for that tank are the frogs and the jewels. The balas are likely to beat themselves to death with so little swimming space.
