Fish dying one by one....no Clue as to why

I have posted here a few times over the months and unfourtunetely it's always becuase something bad is happenign in my tank. I have a 10 gallon with 2 Serpae Tetra's a Zebra Danio and red eye tetra. In the past month I have has three fish all die of the same thing. They show no signs of illness until one day they start losing swim contol. They eat normally, but if they stay in one place either their head or tail falls and they can not stay straight. It starts just a small problem but within a few days they loose all control or just sudenly die. My water chemistry is fine and I've had these fish for between 6mo to over a year. I don't know what is wrong and don't know what to do.

I have a 10 gallon tank that is filtered, heated and planted and I do weekly water changes.

What could be wrong??

Thanks,
Jeff

I have a same problem last year, never trust the fish store, unless you alway went there. I have a tank with 30 cadinal and a few guppies. I went to a fish store and purchase some more fish since my tank is big (100 gals), after i dump the fish in, a few days later all my fish die one by one and as you say have no sign at all, I end up after they all die, I reset my tank and start everything over again, now i set up an other tank for new fish only and let it stay there for a month before i transfer them to my 100 gals, so far over10 months i only got 1 dead fish (touch wood). thanks !

Sounds like it could be neon tetra disease, but this in only a guess. google "neon tetra disease" for more information. It is not limited to tetras. There's no treatment for it, and all of the fish usually die.

If you value your fish, it is important to quarantine new arrivals.

Thanks for your replies.

Is it possible for NTD to sit dormant for some time before affecting fish? It's been 6 month's since I added any new fish, so I'm not sure if this is the problem or not. I do know that more of my fish are starting to show symptoms.

Thanks,
Jeff
