Heyya folks. Anyone got any advice on these guys? My fire goby passed away for unknownst reasons (it was very timid, I believe it didn't get enough food) so I picked up a hawk. My only inverts are snails, an emerald crab, and some softies, so I figured no problems there. The gramma though really has a problem with him though. Just sits there with mouth agap, but the hawk usually just ignores him. He's eating well so far, so I'm optimistic. Very beautiful fish.

Royal Grammas will spar with just about anything, IME. I watched over a friend's tank with 2 royal grammas in it while he was away, and all they did was fight. Their fins were ragged from nipping, and their color was fading badly. Eventually, one died, and the survivor turned his attention to a damsel and lipstick tang. It wasn't long before those three were quarreling constantly as well.
