I bought some of those sinking wafers for my two corys, but whenever I drop them in, the swordtails eat them first. Is there any other way I can feed the corys or will they have to live on whatever they can find in the gravel?

Thanks.

Having the same problem here... if they aint dead they're getting enough food, so don't sweat it.

I also use shrimp pellets because they break apart and the cories find the scraps later...

For my tank I put the sinking tablets and flake food in at the same time and the cories get theirs and the other fish spend their time trying to get the flakes. I actually have one cory that does his best to swim to the top and eat the flakes as they fall. Sort of the opposite problem.

I have danios in with my cories and I feed them mostly flake food, but also treat them with frozen foods occasionally. I feed them first (they will go after the tablets if I put them in first) so they are pre-occupied with "their" food when the tablets get put in. The cories then get their fair share of the tablets and also eat the flake/frozen food that manages to get past the danios and fall to the bottom.

You can also feed right at lights-out; the cories will scrounge around and find the food eventually.

Mine are remarkable at finding enough to eat.

I agree with JSchmidt. I also had this problem with thieves. I feed the cories at night, just before I turn out the light in the tank. Seems to work.
