I have had two ocellaris clownfish for about a month and a half now, and the other day I noticed the larger one (Ginger) shudder near my smaller one (Fred). Now today I saw Ginger shudder again, and then Fred 'shuddered back'. Plus Ginger is becoming more aggressive... haha when I go to clean the tank out she'll come and bite my hand.
I was wondering if this was normal behavior, or what does it mean?
Thanks!

They are mating. The larger of the two is female the smaller one is the male.

It's not necessarily a 'mating dance'. Ginger is just letting Fred know who is boss. Ginger is showing dominance and Fred is showing submission.

Yup, I agree, this is very common.

Ya mine always used to snuggle against each other until I got an anemone...then the female got too aggressive towards the male and I returned the anemone but the male's colors darkened since and he has been some what submissive towards her since. Her aggression has died down a lot though since I took the anemone away.

Mine did the shimmy, then laid eggs.

Mine did the shimmy for 5 yrs. before they laid eggs.
Right after their first clutch my female died.
