I have a planted 10gallon tank with 2 bronze(2" each), 1 spotted(3") cory and a pair of guppies(small).
Generally speaking, would it be too crowded to add one more cory maybe two into my tank? I'm concern about the avaliable ground space for them to roam around. Too crowded? Or the more the merrier?
thanks.

Hopefully someone with more experience will better be able to answer your question, but I have 4 peppered cories and 1 spotted cory in a 10-gal. They seem to be fine (with the exception of one of them suddenly being bloated last night). I have been told by others here that cories like to be in groups, and mine don't seem to have any territory/crowding issues.

I've had as many as 6 or 8 adults in a 12g with no problems. They like having buddies and the 10g shouldn't really pose too many probs as long as it's kept nice and clean.

Regular water changes and there really shouldn't be a problem
with adding a couple more cories to your 10g.
They sure are a fun fish to watch.
Cheers.

The most commonly sold "spotted cory" at most of the PM's I've seen have been trilineatus, occasionally juliis or even reticulatus. Try using them as a starting point at planet catfish (http://www.planetcatfish.com)

I have five in one of my 10 gals - 4 aeneus (2 bronze, 1 albino, and 1 'other' varient) and 1 delphax. All are healthy and happy, they share the tank swimming playing and resting together :)
I actually have to keep myself from buying more each time I go to the store because they're so gosh darn cute! :P

Not to hijack the thread, but how many could I keep in a six gallon. I ask because I am in college and had to leave the 20 gallon @ home.

It depends on what else is in the tank. Just cories--4 of a smaller species such as the pandas would be fine. If there will be other fish, it will depend on the fish. I would be comfortable having 4 small cories and a betta in a 6, but not much else. And, this would require a strict maintenance routine--I'd probably go with weekly water changes of 20% and plant the tank as well.
The dwarf or pygmy cories would do very well in that size tank, and you could have 5-6 of them, and some amano or cherry shrimp. Would be a nice little setup!

Sure could be! There's a buncha "spotted corys" out there. They are always mucking about with cory classifications, lol. Keep poking about Planet Catfish and check the links section for some more good sites.
Tank stocking is a highly variable art. There's a whole lot more factors involved that people don't really consider, like planting levels, compatibility, general cleanliness level, etc. I stock many of my tanks far higher than what many conservative types would recommend myself. Might possibly have something to do with that same college limit on tank size thingy too... For example, in my three Eclipse 6's: tank a has nine zebra danios, 6 ringed loaches and a flying fox (who will get moved eventually, once I get offa these darn crutches); tank b has around 25 Endler's livebearers (you try telling the lil buggers not to breed lol); and tank c has a pair of Aphyosemion striatum. The same pattern is evident in my other tanks too lol. Just some food for thought...
