Has anyone from Ontario (particularly GTA) ever seen Glossostigma for sale? Pretty much every chain pet store I've seen carries Tropica plants, but never Glosso. Anyone?

I've had the same results as you Starry. I only buy my plants at BigAl's but glosso has never appeared there. Try talking to the store manager, they could probably order it for you, unless it is one of those plants banned for import right now.
I talked to the manager at my BigAl's about ordering plants I haven't seen in there before (I originally wanted them from Ottawa Aquatics :p) and as soon as I called to see if he could order them, he said they were all in stock.

I've experienced the exact same problem, but was finally able to buy some privately from someone locally. Try posting in the aquarium forums at http://www.pricenetwork.ca/forum/ . That's where I found someone to sell me some. Another possibility is to ask at The Menagerie pet shop on Parliament St. in Toronto. They can usually order stuff, although I'd been bugging them about glosso for a couple of weeks with no luck. They'd like to get it, but apparently it's a matter of what's in stock/season with their suppliers. Just have to keep checking in to see if it's available.

A remote third option is to wait until I solve my slight green water problem (new tank, a solution is in the works). The 12 or so little plants I put in my tank took off almost immediately. It's not a carpet yet, but it grows pretty quickly. I'd be happy to pull a few out for ou when it's really going. I'd guess (optimistically) about a month or so.

Ok, so I'm not the only one. I think I'm gonna see if the people at a small fish store here can order it. They specialize in marine stuff, but they have a decent plant selection. It's at Torbram and Steeles in Brampton BTW, if anyone is interested, called Aquarium Depot. Not much as far as FW fish, but the plants were really good when I was there. So I guess I'll go down there in the next few weeks and try my luck.
