What somewhat common pleco do you like best as far as coloration, personality ect. ?
I have to go with the royal pl*co. I love those red eyes and the stripes are nice as well.

royal is a somewhat common pleco?? I dont think so. I like the golden nugget and zebra pleco. The zebra isnt common but by far, the best looking pleco imo.

Maybe the royal isnt common where your form but here most of the LFS'es will always have a couple of them in stock. Heck even my local petco has them from time to time. There only $25 from there.

You described the gibbiceps perfectly!
Just my opinion though.
My ideal pleco is an albino gibbiceps.

My favorite seems to be the Queen Arabesque and then the Royals (large ones). The Flash also seems to be one the top of the list. & Panaques in general.

:D haha, interresting that we kinda went off the topic of common, lol.
I agree with Yann and Mokmu those are also great loricariidae!

Hi,
I think Bristlenosed are the best, they don't grow above 6", easy to breed, easy to care for, common, inexpensive, great algae eaters and compatible with almost any freshwater fish that isn't really aggressive. Thanks,
Botch

I second the vote for the gibbiceps - if you have the space.
And everyone should have bristlenoses.

I guess I shouldn't mention that I got my first zebra plec for $12, and he was almost 4" when I got him!!! Gotta love wholesale price ;)

1st- it's Green with some spots and a seam it is L047 most likely, follow link provided: L047 (http://www.planetcatfish.com/ilibrary/loricari/baryanci/191_f.htm)
Next issue, what the heck happened here? I'm gone for a couple month's and I lose all my Beautiful stars? In all seriousness the new place looks great. I assume Mo is to thank for this.
Finally the best looking Non-Ultra rare plecos are L134 (http://www.planetcatfish.com/ilibrary/loricari/peckolti/213_f.htm) or L260 (http://www.planetcatfish.com/ilibrary/loricari/hypancis/229_f.htm)
Best Rare...well that's easy
