Like in my other thread about parasites, I added the salt and all that... but now fungus seems to be taking hold of my macropodidae
.
One of my spike-tails died of this fungus and bloat, now I have a female betta with a pretty bad ifection, another one with a tiny spot on her. After two days of swabing the infected areas on the worser betta with Betadine, there had been little effect. The skin under the fungus is inflamed and very red, it is also very difficult to get her to eat.
I removed her and put her in a gallon vase (I know it's not the best, but I can take care of her easier there). I also added regular table salt instead of my aquarium salt (just a little). The reason is I know iodine kills a lot of bacteria by itself and I was hoping that it might do the same for her. Any help is much appreciated, water perameters should be fine, thought I haven't checked them, which is in order as soon as I am done here.
It's the cottony fungus, btw.
