Sooo...., for $85 for a regulator and $70 for a 6lb co2 bottle I now have pressurized CO2, whooo hooo!!!!

The question is, how many bubbles per second for my 55 gallon moderately (soon to be heavily) planted tank with 110watt cf lighting? I'm feeding the CO2 line into the intake of my eheim 2026 filter.

According to the CO2 chart, with my KH of 4 a pH of 6.75 yields 23ppm CO2.

tanks for listening,

I use slightly less than 1 bubble per second into my heavily planted 55 gallon with 3 wpg lighting. I probably should increase the bubble rate slightly.

Be careful in using the co2 addition to the INPUT side of your canister. YOu might get cavitation due to co2 gas build-up. Many people suggest putting co2 in the OUTPUT side.

For a DIY co2 reactor, take a look at:

Thanks,

Hello from a former Norman/Noble resident.

I've had no problem with my eheims on co2 into the intake. I've never seen any co2 bubble out of the spraybars at all so I think I'm getting good absorbtion.
