I am wondering if there is some way to replace the carbon cartridges in my whisper with a different type of chemical media. I am using ammocarb in my canister filter and really like it. If I just rinse off the media bags that the original carbon was in, can I refill it with ammocarb or some other type of media or is that a terrible idea?
